Professionals can use the tracker to help them to understand why a CE credit is not applied
Each transcript will allow you to know why a course does not count, first refer to How to Understand My Tracker
All CE certificates will be stored within your CE Zoom account. However, there are various reasons why CE Credits may not be applied toward your total CE credit requirements:
Reason 1:
- Some sections within a CE transcript are set to "require but not counted' CE credits. You will see if this applies to a requirement under the heading 'Description." For some trackers, a minimum amount of hours may be required to satisfy the section in full, however the credits cannot be applied. In the example below, the 'Applied' section displays yellow and shows a white triangle along with the message "CE's in the group are required but not counted.' For more information on this refer to; How to Understand My Tracker
Reason 2:
- The maximum limit of credit hours that can be applied have been exceeded. The values associated with the hour indicated in the transcript are set by the state regulatory agency. The example below shows a maximum limit of 10.00 Credit Hours eligible for the section 'Elective Activities,' any credit hours earned over this amount will not be applied to the total CE credits required.
Reason 3:
- CE activities or courses were not given by an approved education provider. In order to satisfy some individual requirements, CE credits must be issued by one of the listed approved educational course providers approved by the state regulatory agency. If applicable, to view a list of approved educational providers for an individual requirement, click on "View Approved Providers" to expand the list. CE credit earned for courses delivered by a non approved educational provider will not be applied to your total CE credits required.
Reason 4:
- A course attended did not counted as 'Live.' Some sections of the transcript may identify that requirements be satisfied through a specific format. Mandatory 'Live' means that you must be in attendance, physically present at a course or (if applicable) a live webinar to earn eligible credits. Courses or activities performed by means of home self-study, pre-recorded on-demand webinars, or on-demand internet courses will not be accepted when mandatory 'live' is required. Note for dental professionals: AGD-PACE standards identify webinars as live CE as long as Q & A is offered at the end of the course. Any organization using the CE Zoom platform for their course delivery will distribute CE Certificates that indicate if the course was held 'Live.'
EXCLUSION GROUPS: Typically the last section of your transcript is identified as 'Exclusion' or 'Courses not Eligible for CE Credit.' All CE credits that your state regulating agency does not allow will be listed in this section. Refer to this group when your 'Completed' and 'Applied' CE Total do not match, to understand the reasoning.
