AGD-PACE Joint Program Provider Slide Deck (PP slides) Organization and Requirements

This section outlines the required format and content guidelines for the presentation slide deck used in AGD-PACE Joint Program Provider Activities.

Presentation requirements: 

Joint Program Providers are to work closely with Instructors to ensure that CE Activity materials comply with the AGD-PACE Standards. All links in this page will direct back to the appropriate place in the Joint Provider Policy and Protocols for more detailed information.

Slide Decks

Most CE Activities include slide decks (Power Point, Google Slides, Canva...etc), if using this presentation delivery, please follow the organizational format below.

  1. Title: Ensure the title helps attendees understand what the course topic is about. 

  2. Intro: Provide Instructor full name and contact information (email, website..etc) and any additional personal information and introductions. 

  3. Disclosure of Relevant Financial Relationships:  CE Zoom requires specific information to be disclosed to attendees and to appear in a specific format.

  4. Disclaimers: The purpose of the Disclaimer slide is to caution the audience about the content they are about to receive and depends on the content of the CE Activity.

  5. Objectives: Place the educational objectives (3-5) on this slide. This slide will inform the attendees of the expected learner outcomes. The content coming after this slide will be the START of the educational content of the course.

  6. Educational Content: the number of slides must be appropriate for the length of time requirement of the course.

    1. Unbiased Content: ensure independence from commercial influence and remove bias

    2. Logos: No personal branding or company logo are allowed on the slides within the educational portion of the CE Activity.. written words are preferred, (i.e. “© instructor name, DDS” or “Content owned by cleanteeth.com”)

    3. Products: If products/Services are mentioned, content must contain discussion or images of similar competitor products/services. Single product promotion or advertising is not allowed.

    4. Scientific References: all content must be supported by scientific literature and all studies must contain citations. References must be made within the presentation or summarized on a conclusion slide. NO personal opinions are to be made during the course. 

    5. Generic names: of medication are to be used whenever possible

    6. QR Codes: are allowed if they link to education content without advertising or selling. If attendees are required to put in name, email or other personal information, it must be disclosed to participants what information will be required to access the webpage and what will be done with that information. (i.e “Name and email is required to access link to the ‘checklist’ and will be used for marketing purposes”)

    7. NO personal opinions regarding products, treatment modalities are to be made during the course. Personal information, promo codes and advertising of products can only take place after the verification code has been given out to the audience and the educational portion of the course has been concluded

  7. References | Citations: All CE Activities must include resources, references or source citations from scientific literature that supports the educational and clinical content of the CE Activity. This information should be included within the slide deck materials or at the end of the presentation.

  9. Verification Code | CE Certificate Instructions | This Concludes the Educational Portion of the CE This slides will create a distinct END to the educational content of the course and allow the attendees to receive the unique code they will need to verify their attendance at cezoom.com. 

    1. Promotional and marketing materials can now be introduced.
    2. (OPTIONAL: Q&A may take place here, if promotional content will still be discussed but this will not count for CE credit)

If not using Slide Decks

CE Zoom encourages the use of slide decks but understands that it may not be conducive toward certain types of CE Activity formats. CE Zoom will still require the submission of materials that will provide proof of the above items that would be traditionally be addressed through a slide deck. Additional materials that satisfy the above items may be requested to demonstrated compliance such as speaker notes, detailed course outline, Handousts..etc. 

Work with your CE Zoom representative if the course format will not utilized a traditional slide deck presentation. 

 

Developing Effective Course Materials:

If a CE Activity is being delivered by an organization who is a Joint Program Provider with CE Zoom
