Understanding and Using the Master Provider Approval Manager

Build, manage, and categorize your agency’s list of approved CE providers in CE Zoom

 Overview

The Master Provider Approval Manager allows your agency to review all providers currently offering CE within your industry and establish your agency’s official list of providers that are subject to your rules or requirements.

This includes providers that may have:

  • Minimum or maximum CE hour limits

  • Exclusions (providers not allowed to offer qualifying CE)

  • Required providers (those that must be used for certain CE topics or hours)

This list is essential for enabling the Provider Approvals tracking rule, which can be applied to your compliance trackers. This rule lets you control which providers are eligible to issue qualifying CE credits, based on criteria you define.

To maintain full control over how providers are recognized and tracked within your rules, each provider must be listed in your agency’s Master Provider List and categorized.

What You Can Do in This Manager:

  • Review all existing CE providers associated with your industry

  • Add providers to your agency’s Master List to enable rule control and customization

  • Set Active Dates and CE Limitations for Providers Use this feature to define when a provider is considered active and to set limits on how many CE hours professionals can earn from them.
  • Categorize providers as needed to align with your internal classification system

    • All providers will have a default category

    • Use Provider Categories to reclassify providers and ensure they’re tracked correctly according to your rules

📌 Categorization allows more precise tracking when applying rules to certain types of providers, such as sponsors, associations, or internal agencies.
