AGD-PACE Joint Program Provider Publicity | Advertisements | Promotions Requirements

Promotional materials must follow AGD-PACE rules to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance for all joint program provider CE activities.

 

All publicity must be approved before use to ensure compliance with AGD branding and content guidelines.

Publicity | Advertisements | Promotion Rules: 

  1. Product promotional materials or product-specific advertisements of any type are prohibited in or during continuing education activities.
  2. Advertisements and promotional materials cannot be included within the CE program's educational content.
  3. Materials such as slides, abstracts, and handouts cannot contain any advertising, trade names, or a product-group message.
  4. Whenever possible, the generic names of therapeutic options must be used, which will contribute to the impartiality of the CE program.
  5. Any conflict of interests, sponsors, or disclosures must be made at the beginning prior to the start of the educational content.
  6. No embedded advertising or direct commercial links shall be placed within the educational portion of the presentations.
  7. CE programs designed to deliver education on any one specific technique, service, device, or therapeutic will be considered “Trainings.” Any promotional or publicity materials delivered will be done outside the educational portion and clearly disclosed to the participant.

Outside Registration Landing Page Rules:

  1. Registration Page: All CE Activities will have an auto-generated registration page that attendees can use to enrol in the CE Activity. If alternative websites will be the main source of attendee registration, that page must contain the following information:  

    1. Course title

    2. Course overview (3-5 sentences)

    3. Objectives (3-5 Sentences)

    4. Educational methods to be used (Lecture, Clinical Participation, Self-study, etc.)

    5. Costs (or indicate if complimentary)

    6. Provider Names: 

      1. Your Organization Name (indicate: Joint Program CE Provider), 

      2. CE Zoom (indicate: AGD-PACE Approved Provider)

    7. Contact Information: Attendees will use this for technical, refund, cancellation support

      1. Your Organization Contact Email: 

      2. CE Zoom’s Contact Email: support.cezoom.com 

    8. Course Instructor(s) Bio: include qualifications and any potential conflicts of interest

    9. Pre-requisites: if none, indicate “none,” otherwise, state the pre-requisites qualification and how attendees can demonstrate eligibility

    10. Refund Policy

    11. Cancellation Policy

    12. Location

    13. Date/Time

    14. CE hours awarded 

    15. AGD subject code

    16. Commercial Supporter(s): if none, indicate “none,” otherwise, identify the Name of the company offering support

    17. AGD-PACE Approved Logo and Statement AND Joint Program Provider Statement.

    All efforts shall be made to include the above information on all publicity materials at a minimum, the following shall be present as long as the user is directed to the registration webpage which contains the above information in its entirety


      1. Course title

      2. Educational methods to be used (Live in-person, Live Virtual Webinar, Hand-on’s, Self-study, etc.)

      3. Provider Name: 

        1. Your Organization Name (indicate: Joint Program CE Provider), 

      4. Course Instructor(s) Name 

      5. Location

      6. Date/Time

      7. CE hours awarded 

      8. Commercial Supporter(s): if 

      9. AGD-PACE Approved Logo and Statement AND Joint Program Provider Statement.

     

    Prohibited Terms

    The terms “accredited”, “accreditation”, “certification”, or “endorsement of” must not be used in conjunction with PACE approval. Providers must not make statements implying AGD PACE approval or endorsement of individual courses.

    AGD-PACE Joint Program Provider Statement 

    The following statement must be on all publicity materials: “This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of CE Zoom and {Your Company’s Name}. CE Zoom is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.”

    Use of the AGD-PACE Logo

    The use of the AGD-PACE logo may not be used without first approval of CE Zoom and must follow these guidelines: 

        1. The AGD-PACE logo should be between 3/4 and 2 inches in height and not be larger than your company logo.
        2. The approval statement must be placed directly to the right of the AGD PACE logo (as shown)
        3. Type size for the approval statement should not be less than 6 point. Type style should be san serif (Helvetica, Ariel, etc.)
        4. The AGD PACE logo can only be displayed in one of the following three formats: AGD approved colors, entirely black, or white if reversed out of a dark colored background.
